So I found this site of Jerry Falwell quotes today and almost fell out of my chair laughing. Growing up in Lynchburg (home of Liberty University), I was able to see the destruction first hand that Mr Falwell would wield on the economy and the culture of the town. He made a printing company fire 200 employees because he interfered with them receiving a contract to print Playboy Magazine. You can't get Larry Flynt but you can take down Hugh Heffner. Lynchburg was going to renovate their downtown but Mr Falwell stood in the way because one of the warehouse would be a hospice for gay artists with AIDS. The kicker is I know some of his cousins who will not speak to the man when he was alive because, and I quote, "He is a fucking hypocrite." I think That sums it up! Enjoy!
